Novelty ~ Cellini Peyote Beaded Sphere
Adding a series of beads that gradually increase, then decrease, in size to plain peyote stitch creates a raised surface in the peyote and adds a great deal of visual interest to the beadwork. This is a well-known bead weaving technique and can be used to create unique jewellery, collars, leaves, vases, pod shapes and more. When the technique is used to create a sphere the effect is quite stunning. I did not create the technique, but I did write this tutorial to explain which materials I used and how I stitched the components to make my sphere. There are other instructions available where talented bead weavers tell you how they made their project. Ultimately we would like to share our excitement with you, about how challenging this project was and also how much fun it was. I hope that in the end you will be successful in creating your own beaded sphere.
