Beaded Double Pyramid

Beaded Double Pyramid

Inspiration for this beaded project came indirectly from a photo of a small metal sculpture made by Vladimir Bulatov who was inspired by a paper origami figure.  I emulated his spheroid by using strips of beaded peyote stitch to replace the paper strips of the original idea. As is the case with so many designs, one idea leads to another. I wanted to make a hexagonal design but discovered that six strips joined together in one point will not work using my current technique. So I redesigned and made this double square pyramid where only four strips meet at the points.
